The Army Platforms Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Leader to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and high-impact solutions to our sponsor's critical mission problems while building and growing sponsor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary interface to multiple senior sponsors within PEO Missiles and Space
  • Build and maintain relationships with PEO MS's senior leaders
  • Define and lead fast-paced, high-impact work in the areas of systems engineering, concept development, cyber security, prototyping, and integration
  • Staff and lead a diverse team of engineers and technical experts
  • Grow MITRE support in high-impact areas that we currently do not have direct support
  • Enable the sponsor's mission through the delivery of concise, impactful technical deliverables, briefings, reports, and executive-level recommendations to senior sponsors
  • Collaborate externally with PEO MS and their stakeholders, as well as contractors
  • Collaborate internally with MITRE Project Leads, Department Manager, and Chief Engineer
  • Provide thought leadership and clear, timely, actionable recommendations in multiple areas focused on systems engineering, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), and cyber security strategies
Requirements:
  • Typically, requires a minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Extensive experience with Mission Engineering, System of Systems Engineering, and Digital Engineering
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering artifacts in SysML or UML
  • Familiarity with cyber security strategies
  • Knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense mission
  • Experience working with DoD
  • Adept at clearly communicating concise, actionable recommendations to Senior Leaders
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • This position requires an onsite presence of 5 days a week
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the Army
  • Knowledge of Army systems and Program Managers especially in the areas of systems engineering, cyber security, and interoperability
  • Experience developing Model-Based Systems Engineering artifacts in SysML or UML and leading teams focused on System of Systems Engineering and integration
  • Experience with AGILE framework
  • Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
