About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Simpson Strong-Tie as a Territory Sales Manager - Residential. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the residential market segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow residential sales in the New York state and Pittsburgh territory.
  • Coordinate with and contribute to the overall branch and company efforts to profitably grow our business.
  • Supervise Dealer Sales Representatives, including leadership/employee development, oversight of weekly activities, and assistance to meet goals and objectives.
  • Lead and participate in training sessions/workshops in and out of the territory, including scheduling, promotion, set-up, presentation, and take-down.
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, Marketing, Territory Sales Representatives, and other TSMs to develop/coordinate sales strategies and programs.
  • Communicate market trends and field intelligence to Management and Operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing

As a Territory Sales Manager - Residential, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving demand and growing sales of all Simpson product lines in the defined marketplace.
  • Conducting sales calls, identifying opportunities, giving presentations, and providing hands-on demonstrations.
  • Analyzing industry and market needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.
  • Forecasting territory demand and providing support as needed by the customer and/or company.
  • Generating and maintaining specifications for single-family and multi-family projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience and/or training, with a strong working knowledge of residential construction practices and distribution channels.
  • 2-3 years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading direct reports and employee development.
  • Technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, and SAP ERP.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and present captivating presentations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, seeing, talking, and hearing. The employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. This job operates in a professional office environment, customer sites, and outdoor construction job sites.

Travel Requirements

This role requires up to 25% domestic travel.
