About the Role

The Sustaining Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting production and test in a hands-on environment. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work remotely on certain days, providing a unique blend of in-person and remote work experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical schematics and harness prints to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
  • Support purchasing by identifying alternative electromechanical sources for devices such as contactors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and power supplies.
  • Maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical cabinet bills of materials.
  • Ensure that work orders for harness updates in house are being processed.
  • Support production and testing team at the factory, troubleshooting machines and providing written work instructions for component installation.
Requirements
  • AS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification with 2+ years' experience.
  • Experience using Multimeters, Picometers, Oscilloscopes, and other hand tools.
  • Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Experience with industrial type equipment and their control systems preferred.
  • Understanding of schematic layout, wire sizing, and control cabinet layouts.
  • AC motors control experience, both electromechanical and VFD type controls.
  • Automotive type wiring harness design and layout experience is a plus.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office to generate concise work instructions.
  • Experience with SEE Electrical is a plus, but not required; training available for selected candidate.
  • Working familiarity of Solidworks is also a plus.
