Position Overview

The Head of Store Operations is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of operations at Eataly. In collaboration with senior leadership, this role involves strategizing and executing plans aimed at enhancing sales, boosting profitability, and fostering a positive environment for both guests and team members, all in alignment with Eataly's core mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with corporate and global leadership to grasp company strategies and develop operational plans that align with overarching business goals.
  • Direct daily operations, ensuring that Eataly’s standards for guest service, financial performance, and operational efficiency are consistently upheld.
  • Manage labor, costs, inventory, compliance with regulations, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts.
  • Develop and oversee the store operations budget, implementing cost control measures while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and enhance store performance.
  • Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and other pertinent metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Encourage collaboration across departments, maintaining ongoing communication with store leaders regarding performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for resolving operational challenges within the store.
  • Inspire and develop the team by setting clear expectations and leading by example.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring processes, performance evaluations, and employee terminations.
  • Serve as the store's representative to the community and guests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail or restaurant environment.
  • A genuine passion for Italian cuisine and hospitality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, motivational, and team-building abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills.
  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly desirable.
