Purpose and Responsibilities

The Engineering Stores Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring maximum equipment availability by accurately mapping and maintaining engineering stores on a day-to-day basis. This involves creating effective stock takes on a monthly basis and collaborating with OEMs and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.

To excel in this position, you should have a strong understanding of engineering or a background in manufacturing and production, allowing you to comprehend our engineering requirements. Effective management of engineering spares is crucial to ensure all spares are available to meet PPM planning requirements while keeping costs in line with budgets.

Key Accountabilities/Outcomes


  • Work with the engineering team to manage effective stocks and spares.
  • Manage a monthly stores budget in line with forecast.
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers and ensure financial compliance requirements are met.
  • Work with OEMs and local suppliers to secure the most competitive prices.
  • Order and receive spares.
  • Maintain current stock levels and critical spare levels.
  • Utilize the CMMS engineering management system to log and allocate spares, parts, and stock items.
  • Accurately manage stock, including scheduled cycle count requirements.
  • Receive and check incoming spares and parts.
  • Support the Rich Products TPM program.
  • Perform tasks required by the Site Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure compliance to company food safety, hygiene, and quality standards, as appropriate, to drive a quality food manufacturer, meeting Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) and legislative requirements set by competent authorities.
  • Support Financial, H&S, and Food Safety Compliance audits.
  • Actively champion Health and Safety to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with Rich Products Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience


  • Understanding of engineering terminology.
  • Good knowledge of engineering components.
  • Understanding of engineering technical and OEM drawings.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in a stores/warehouse environment – Stock Control.

Desirable


  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • HACCP.
  • Six Sigma.
  • Project Leadership.
  • Experience of SAP/D365.
  • Knowledge and application of TPM.
  • Maintenance management systems for stores.
  • Food Manufacturing Experience.
