Government Programs Specialist

Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and results-driven Government Programs Specialist or Senior Government Programs Specialist to enhance our dynamic team.

In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in obtaining government funding for our cutting-edge battery and electrolyte innovations.

You will report directly to the Head of Government Operations and will be responsible for drafting grant proposals and overseeing the comprehensive grant application and management process.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a technical background, experience in grant writing, and a commitment to advancing national security and technological progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with engineers and scientists to collect technical capabilities and articulate them into clear and concise proposals.
  • Conduct strategic financial market analysis to support grant submissions.
  • Research and pinpoint relevant government funding opportunities (DoD, DOE, Intelligence Community) that align with our technological and product development objectives.
  • Assist in proposal submissions, budget formulation, post-submission communication, and post-award reporting and tracking.
  • Leverage insights from government activities to inform Anthro's product and commercial strategy.
  • Provide necessary support to the technical team on government-funded initiatives, ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgetary limits.
  • Stay informed about pertinent government funding policies and program priorities.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or advanced degree in Science, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with experience in financial modeling or techno-economic analysis being advantageous.
  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  • A proven history of successfully securing government grants is a plus (e.g., DoD, DOE, CEC).
  • A solid understanding of federal and state grant writing processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills (Desirable):

  • Experience with battery and electrolyte technologies.
  • Familiarity with national security priorities and the significance of advanced energy storage solutions.
  • Interest or experience in public policy related to clean energy or national security.
