Job Overview

In Adams Clinical, we are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to lead and oversee clinical research studies focused on CNS disorders. As a Principal Investigator, you will provide compassionate care and support to patients dealing with mental health disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Evaluate and screen potential subjects based on study eligibility criteria; perform other psychiatric evaluations as required.
  • Perform physical examinations as a part of clinical study procedures.
  • Provide ongoing assessments of study subjects including any potential adverse events, or serious adverse events and ensure proper reporting of such events.
  • Provide medical management of Adverse Events and emergent events as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and assess laboratory reports and ECGs.
  • Follow protocol requirements including concomitant medication allowances and review inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Complete all training for study specific psychometric rating scales assigned to Principal Investigator in a timely manner. Administer and score psychometric rating scales at patient visits according to schedule of assessments.
  • Complete protocol specific training as required per sponsor's vendors to obtain certification to conduct testing and rating scales for specific protocols.
  • Conduct and document training for all delegated individuals tasked with performing any study specific activities in the study.
  • Complete all documentation, paper and electronic, as required per protocol.
  • Provide oversight and ensure proper delegation of duties to appropriate staff.
  • Provide and maintain updated study related documentation as required by the clinical research trial to ensure data integrity.
  • Evaluate and report safety reports, protocol noncompliance, and any other protocol specific reports.
  • Follow requirements for FDA form 1572.
  • Collaborate with operational and management team to ensure site goals are met.
  • Attend Investigator Meetings as needed (some travel may apply).
  • Maintain all required licenses.
Requirements
  • Valid MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry or Neurology.
  • Board Certification in psychiatry or in process of obtaining one.
  • Active DEA license, or able to obtain one.
  • Active license to practice medicine in the state of Texas, or ability to obtain one immediately.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical research, with a focus on psychiatric studies and CNS disorders.

Work Environment

In-person (DeSoto, TX 75115), 8-to-10-hour day shift Monday through Friday with weekends as needed.
