Civil Engineer V Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer V to join our team at GSI Service Group, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in civil engineering principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform independent work on projects assigned by the Project Manager/Principal, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
- Supervise lower-tiered engineers as necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Prepare design analysis and calculations, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports, and coordinate approval signatures from governmental review agencies.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, governmental review agencies, subconsultants, and clients, ensuring clear understanding and timely resolution of project issues.
- Prepare scopes of work and fee proposals as directed by the Project Manager/Principal, and maintain project files to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- With some supervision, prepare billings for invoicing clients, and perform research and gathering of information from governmental agencies.
- Perform services during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, change orders, preparing post-contract documents, and attending weekly progress meetings.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Must have a Professional Engineers License in the State of Hawaii or reciprocal equivalent, or related experience.
- Must have satisfactory performance at the Civil Engineer IV level.
- Able to read plans and specifications, and have a full understanding of engineering problems and the ability to apply sound engineering principles, practices, and judgments in solving such problems.
- Able to communicate well verbally and in writing with peers, supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders, consultants, etc.
- Team player with the ability to complete projects independently on time and within budget.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
