Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, repairs, and replacements of faulty or worn components on railcar systems, ensuring safe operational standards, including truck assemblies, safety devices, braking systems, wheels, and coupling mechanisms.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Examine bearings, seals, gaskets, wheels, and coupler assemblies to assess repair needs.
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Perform cleaning of units and their components.
  • Verify proper functionality of equipment.

Qualifications:
