We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Shift Injection Molding Supervisor to lead our operations team in Newton, NC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing activities in the various production departments, ensuring efficient processing of materials and manufacturing of products.
Key Responsibilities- Train technical personnel on injection molding practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Direct and oversee personnel in production departments, assigning work priorities and moderating daily kick-off meetings.
- Maintain and promote 5S activities on the production floor.
- Track and forward production efficiencies, scrap reduction methods, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Administer, document, and evaluate on-the-job training.
- Ensure safety and operating guidelines are followed and report any unsafe conditions to the department manager.
- Compile reports on progress, downtime, and personnel performance.
- Schedule order, material, plate, and mold changes to meet target times.
- Investigate and resolve machine problems with assistance from other departments.
- One year certificate in Mechanical or Industrial field from a college or technical school, and two to three years related experience and/or training.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Minimum of three years' experience in injection molding or plastic technology.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
