Job Title: Assistant Manager

Chamberlin + Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the property manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the property, including resident satisfaction, retention, and full resident life cycle activities.
  • Understand and implement the operations guidelines established within the property management agreement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial and leasing reports, including accounts receivable, rent collection, and bank deposits.
  • Audit records and files to identify dates requiring administrative action, such as lease expiration dates, delinquent accounts, and unlawful detainees.
  • Collect delinquent account balances from previous residents and process evictions, including serving notices and attending court hearings.
  • Lease apartments as needed and inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Process move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals, and audit all new and current lease agreements and resident files for accuracy.
  • Assist the property manager with training staff on leasing, entering traffic into the computer, marketing, maintenance, and general office operations.
  • Compose and prepare routine correspondence, rental notices, and other letters and memorandums.
  • Assist the property manager with resident relations and problem resolution, and assume responsibility for the operations of the property in their absence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-family property management.
  • Certified Property Manager Certification (CPM) preferred.
  • Excellent property management skills, including leasing, marketing, resident relations/control, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
