Job Description

The Counseling Accreditation Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the Counseling Department's efforts to maintain CACREP accreditation. This position involves coordinating project management duties, planning, and conceptualizing the re-accreditation process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.

About the Position

This is a full-time position within the Counseling Department at Oakland University. The successful candidate will report directly to the Department Chair and will be responsible for managing multiple tasks, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating the re-accreditation process, ensuring compliance with CACREP standards
  • Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, reports, and databases
  • Communicate regularly with department members, stakeholders, and external partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Education or Business Administration
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in an academic setting
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with technology tools and systems, including credit tracking software
