PACU Recovery Room Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled PACU Recovery Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas.
About the Job:This is a full-time opportunity for a registered nurse to work in a fast-paced PACU environment with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and supporting colleagues in their positions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in PACU and a current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
As a PACU Recovery Room Registered Nurse, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for assigned patients. You will direct and deliver comprehensive nursing care to post-anesthesia and post-operative patients.
You will complete an age-appropriate assessment on each assigned patient and create a specific plan of care upon patient arrival. You will obtain supplies, equipment, and medication needed for patient care and monitor the patient throughout the recovery phase.
Job Requirements:- Experience: 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in PACU
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licenses and Certifications: Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
Our competitive salary for this role is $83,000 per year, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
