Mental Health Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu
- Assist Registered Nurses in providing patient care and documentation
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, and complete patient care assignments
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques
- Communicate changes in patient status to Registered Nurses and follow Standards of Care and protocols
- High School diploma or GED required
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting
- Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others
