Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Laborer III to join our team at Kansas Employer. As a key member of our mushroom farm operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties in the composting area of the mushroom growing facility, including sweeping and shoveling compost, washing down equipment, and performing basic equipment checks and maintenance.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to support one or more areas of the facility, including Wharf, Inside Line Operations, Outside Line Operations, and Tunnels.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including forklifts, turners, and front-end loaders.
  • Monitor the performance of machines and report any problems to the supervisor.
  • Identify and transport products to and from various locations, including loading docks, trucks, storage, and work areas.
  • Obtain production schedules and shipping orders to verify and transport requested raw materials, equipment, or processing workflow.
  • Apply understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
  • Report any mechanical or electrical difficulties to Maintenance and maintain records about products and supplies being moved.
  • Communicate with Supervisor and/or Manager quantities and products being moved.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflow.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and creativity.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organization and adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processing.
