Compensation and Benefits Coordinator

This exciting opportunity is for a Benefits Specialist to join our team at GARRISON ASSOCIATES LLC, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on employee well-being. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of benefits administration, ensuring seamless operations and excellent service delivery.
ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing HRIS data entry, including Qualifying Events, COBRA administration, Open Enrollment, and other related tasks
- Providing exceptional support to employees through email and phone inquiries, serving as the first point of contact for the team
- Organizing and delivering weekly New Hire Benefits Orientation sessions
- Collaborating with vendors to provide assistance to employees with benefit-related inquiries
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting for management needs
- Maintaining relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure seamless service delivery
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least 3-5 years of experience in-house administration and health plan administration
- Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security, and DOL requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle Cloud (HCM) and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Windows applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
You will be based in New York City, working closely with our HRIS, payroll, and HR Business Partners teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
