We are seeking an experienced legal documentation specialist to join our industry-leading team. Our organization offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary, determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. Those in eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.

The ideal candidate will aid the Leveraged Finance and Credit deal teams in negotiating legal documentation for best efforts and committed financings, stay abreast of latest market movement in terms, and liaise across internal teams to ensure consistency in approach. They will work directly with deal teams across Leveraged Finance and Credit to assist with financing grids, commitment papers, and long-form documentation for bank debt, direct lending, broadly syndicated loans, and high-yield bonds.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating within a small team of documentation specialists to provide guidance on terms for underwritten and best-efforts transactions
  2. Maintaining data sets of key terms for both underwritten and best-efforts deals (across the broadly syndicated and direct lending universe)
  3. Developing relationships with senior members of Leveraged Finance and Credit
  4. Staying up-to-date on underwriting trends and market term movements
  5. Providing granular understanding of credit agreements and indentures

A strong candidate will possess:

  1. Experience negotiating loans (bank debt/direct lending/broadly syndicated loans) or high-yield bonds in the context of both best-efforts and underwritten transactions
  2. Mid-level associate with 5+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm's debt financing practice
  3. Juris Doctorate required
  4. Ability to run multiple processes while maintaining keen attention to detail
  5. Proactive and collaborative self-starter
  6. Superb organizational and communication skills
  7. Strong work ethic and availability when needed
  8. Basic comfort with Microsoft suite of applications

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, based on industry standards and location.
