  • Conduct waste audits and manage the shipment of hazardous materials.
  • Monitor compliance with wastewater regulations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly safety reports and plant communications.
  • Handle various hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
  • Review and maintain Safety Data Sheets for manufacturing materials.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections in critical areas.
  • Evaluate and implement Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Perform Job Safety Analyses.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory reports as needed.
  • Develop procedures to mitigate safety and environmental risks.
  • Provide training on various EHS topics, including Lab Safety and Chemical Hygiene.
  • Maintain records for sustainability initiatives.
  • Work closely with management to advance health and safety objectives.
  • Facilitate employee safety committees.
  • Coordinate EHS training schedules.
  • Develop and conduct emergency evacuation drills.
  • Participate actively in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with EHS programs and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour training or willingness to complete within the initial period of employment.
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and injury record-keeping.
  • Proficient in PC and related software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and goal-setting capabilities.
  • Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills.
