Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Direct the activities of production personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations, meeting quality and quantity standards.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, manage workforce levels, and oversee the scheduling of work hours to meet customer needs.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality inspections of completed work to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to customers.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Ensure the proper maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to optimize production efficiency and recommend capital expenditures for upgrades.
  • Employee Relations: Foster good employee relations, maintain adherence to company policies, and take disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Performance Evaluation: Establish accountabilities and goals for performance evaluation and provide management with operating data to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or state/local equivalent.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in a rebar shop or manufacturing setting, with two years of previous supervisor experience.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certificate, with OSHA 30 certificate preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to operate all shop equipment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of business, labor relations, cost accounting, and industrial regulations.
