Join DuPont's Team as a Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management Engineer to join our team at DuPont. As a key member of our Integrated Operations function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our raw materials and managing our supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain quality requirements for raw materials used in our CMPT manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain critical process control parameters for raw material production.
  • Evaluate new suppliers and ensure that our raw material supply plans align with our global strategy.
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance, including regular audits, technical meetings, and on-going improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement quality and performance improvement initiatives for our suppliers.
  • Support trouble shooting of supplied material issues and facilitate Root Cause Investigations (RCI) related to supplied materials impact on final product performance.
  • Characterize assigned raw and consumable materials, coordinate analytical tasks, and work with analytical experts to understand raw material characteristics.
  • Develop material and supply mitigation strategies, including second source opportunities and alternate agreements with current suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years combined experience in manufacturing, Development/Scale-up, Quality or Continuous Improvement Engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of raw material chemistry and analytical and functional characterization methods.
  • Experience collaborating with customers or suppliers outside DuPont on technical projects.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of quality management skills such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six-sigma, and use of statistical software.
  • Strong leadership skills and people/team development skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working and managing projects in a global environment with communications across cultures.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, process development, or raw material development.
  • Lean and 6-sigma project certification.
