Position Overview:

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatrist for a role focused on outpatient care. This position entails providing comprehensive mental health services to a diverse patient population, including specialized programs for first-episode psychosis, dialectical behavioral therapy, and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and LGBTQI+ patients.

The partnership with the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute enhances our capacity to deliver quality care, with resources including outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, inpatient services, and innovative addiction treatment options.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with certification required within three years of hire.
  • Eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA certification.
  • Strong clinical and teaching skills, with a demonstrated potential for academic contributions.
