Position Overview:

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, is actively seeking a Geriatric Psychiatrist for a role focused on outpatient services. This position involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse patient population, including specialized services for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis, a dialectical behavioral therapy program, and dedicated clinics for Hispanic patients, those with intellectual disabilities, and LGBTQI+ individuals.

The department, alongside the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, offers extensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs for both children and adults, with access to 89 inpatient beds, ECT, and various neuromodulation services, as well as an Advancement In Recovery addiction treatment initiative.

Qualifications Required:

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with certification expected within three years of hire.
• Eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA certification.
• Successful candidates should demonstrate strong clinical and teaching abilities, along with potential for scholarly contributions.
