St. Mary's General Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain computed tomography (CT) scanners and other medical imaging equipment.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them for optimal results.
- Process and transmit images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for interpretation by radiologists.
- Assist radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment required.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
- Graduate of a program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
- CT ARRT Certification required (effective 07/01/2015).
- BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
