Role Summary

The Audio New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Manager will spearhead initiatives within Worldwide Operations, serving as the key operations liaison to the core product development teams and various functional departments at Apple. As the product steward, the NPI Project Manager will oversee the successful rollout of products, ensuring alignment with established cost, quality, timeline, availability, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Responsibilities

The NPI Project Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the product launch, which includes:
  • Coordinating ramp availability for all product components in collaboration with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other internal and external partners.
  • Ensuring that security measures, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are effectively implemented at partner locations.
  • Driving agile supply chains that maximize cost efficiency, operational adaptability, and superior quality.
  • Evaluating, analyzing, consolidating, and communicating risks and project status clearly to management, highlighting critical issues and proposing solutions to the cross-functional executive team during new product reviews and other executive discussions.
  • Facilitating connections between Cupertino Operations & Engineering Teams and Factory teams throughout various development phases and new product introductions, including the transition to Sustaining Operations Management.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore manufacturers and willingness to travel to manufacturing sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present to management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building capabilities.
  • Clear and consistent communication skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making with a proactive approach to action.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple workstreams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10-20% of the time.
  • Technical expertise and prior experience in OEM management.

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and advancement as you develop within your role. The salary range for this position is between $151,200 and $227,600, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
