Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Processing Specialist to join our team in Ventura County. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and order processing support, working closely with the Purchasing Team to ensure timely processing of orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming quote requests, complete quotes, and submit them to customers in a timely manner.
  • Review open quotes, communicate changes with customers, and manage special order requests.
  • Fill orders from stock, enter approved orders into the computer system, and receive merchandise.
  • Stage orders for customer pickup, ensure product quality, and document any issues.
  • Update quantities in the computer system, log and file receiving documents, and run daily reports.
  • Assist with packing customer purchases, loading purchases into vehicles, and auditing orders for accuracy.
  • Manage the GSA retail price file, file daily paperwork, and perform daily housekeeping duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing functions and order flow.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications, NSN, and governing laws or regulations concerning lawful government procurement.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs and safely use warehouse equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a commitment to our mission and values.
