Job Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer I to join our team at Blue Origin. As an Industrial Engineer I, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of industrial engineering solutions to support the company's space operations and aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement industrial engineering solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in space operations and aerospace systems.
  • Conduct time studies, work sampling, and statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for process improvements.
  • Design and implement facility layouts, manufacturing processes, and other industrial engineering solutions to support the company's space operations and aerospace systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and reports to track progress and communicate results to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with facility layout planning, lean/six sigma projects, and time studies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to develop and maintain documentation and reports.
