Job Title: Executive Chef

At Oak View Group, we are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the direction of our kitchen's daily activities, ensuring guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of 35 full-time and part-time culinary employees.
  • Ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring.
  • Control labor costs through effective scheduling, cross-training, and development of employees.
  • Ensure that budgeted food percentages are achieved through effective control measures.
  • Supervise all line set-up, prep, and breakdown activities, and coordinate the storage, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen equipment.
  • Coordinate the delivery and set-up of catered services and food service areas as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and compliant employee relations climate, and ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and employment regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue.
  • Demonstrated and verifiable track record of meeting projected costs.
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Maintains a current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit if required by state or local government.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 per year.
