Job Title: Fire Alarm CAD Drafter

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm CAD Drafter to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented CAD Drafter to work on fire alarm systems, preparing construction submittal drawings and supporting building systems operation in the District Offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex electrical systems drawings, including conceptual presentation drawings, floor plan layouts, and electrical interconnection drawings.
  • Receive project assignments from the Design Manager and prepare advanced system wiring configurations and project submittal drawings.
  • Maintain project drawing files and associated records and documentation in an orderly condition.
  • Operate and maintain CAD equipment, plotter, and printers.
  • Perform other system configurations and calculations in accordance with project specifications and other project documentation.

Ancillary Responsibilities:

  • Operate large format scanner and reproduction equipment.
  • Collate and ship drawing submittals.
  • Set up computer equipment.
  • Assemble and highlight submittal books.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School/Trade School graduate or Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Four to Six years CAD drafting experience with the latest AutoCAD version.
  • Knowledgeable with AutoCAD, MS office products, and Simplex building systems products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time in office and meeting settings.
  • Use of computer keyboard and attention to PC monitor often for prolonged periods.
