Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/RMA/CMA to join our team in a support role. As a critical float MA for Thoracic Surgery, you will play a vital part in preventing care gaps and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with treatments ordered by providers, supervised by registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.
  • Perform select clinical duties, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and perform basic clerical duties, such as answering phones and maintaining records.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment and perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting (WI only) or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • No experience required.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, constantly standing and walking, and frequently using hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
