Key Responsibilities- Provide ancillary support to the Operating Room Surgical team, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient workflow.
- Manage equipment and inventory in the operating room, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Facilitate patient transport, ensuring safe and timely movement of patients throughout the facility.
- Assist with the transport of specimens and blood/blood products, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills, working collaboratively with perioperative staff, supervisors, and leadership.
- Exhibit courtesy and respect for patients, visitors, and employees, upholding the service mission of Penn Medicine.
- Modify behavior or work schedule as necessary to achieve department goals, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Communicate equipment needs to Biomedical Engineering and Facilities Management, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Equivalent experience may be considered
