Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Oversight: Assist in the drafting, evaluation, and management of contracts, including licensing agreements, talent contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain legal files, ensuring all documents are current and readily accessible, while managing a substantial volume of electronic records.
  • Meeting and Calendar Management: Coordinate meetings, calls, and deadlines for the legal team; prepare agendas and document detailed meeting notes.
  • Legal Research Support: Perform fundamental legal research as required to assist the legal team in their decision-making processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance Assistance: Aid in ensuring that the organization adheres to industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Communication Facilitation: Act as a liaison for internal departments and external partners, promoting seamless and timely communication regarding legal issues.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage various administrative responsibilities, including processing invoices, tracking legal expenditures, and arranging travel for the legal team.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance on special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Paralegal certification or legal assistant credential is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a legal department; experience with cap table management is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of legal terminology and contract management procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
