Clinical Oversight Manager

This role is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision of trainees, consultation, care coordination, and management of service utilization within the Acute Intensive Services Program.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee administrative functions of residential Acute Services Programs and the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
2. Directly manage clinical staff, including clinicians, per diem staff, and trainees, ensuring the effective delivery of clinical services through regular individual supervision and group consultations.
3. Be accessible for clinical consultation throughout the day to support supervisees and staff.
4. Supervise the quality and delivery of individual, family, and group therapy services, including case assignments.
5. Participate in the intake process for Acute Services, attending weekly review meetings and coordinating with the intake department for referrals.
6. Lead the utilization management efforts to confirm that clients in the Acute Services Programs and Crisis Stabilization Unit meet the necessary medical criteria for their care level.
7. Collaborate with external partners and agencies on clinical matters, including authorizations, discharge recommendations, and care coordination.
8. Ensure effective communication among all members of a child's care team, participating in relevant meetings as necessary.
9. Work closely with Quality Assurance to uphold high documentation standards.
10. Review and approve mental health documentation from clinicians, ensuring compliance with established timelines and guidelines.
11. Ensure adherence to Community Care Licensing standards by overseeing employee guidelines and clinical documentation.
12. Conduct interviews and hire clinical staff for Acute Services and Crisis Stabilization, addressing staffing challenges as they arise.
13. Manage supervisee paid time off and clinical coverage.
14. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and other programs on development and implementation initiatives.
15. Attend weekly staff meetings to work with Milieu Managers for consistent client care.
16. Lead the insurance appeal process as needed, in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Director and/or Medical Director.
17. Deliver safe, effective, efficient, culturally competent, and client-centered care in accordance with established policies and standards.
18. Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
19. Perform additional duties as assigned.
