Overview

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Anesthetist - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join our team at Emory University Ortho & Spine Hospital. As a vital member of our integrated academic healthcare system, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Work Hours/Schedule

We offer a full-time, partial call schedule with no night coverage required. You will work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, with a standard 40-hour workweek. Our work locations include Emory University Ortho & Spine Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and various Ambulatory Surgical Centers in the Atlanta area.

Highlights of the Position
  • Competitive salary range: $183,300 - $220,000 per year (based on years of experience)

Responsibilities

Under the direction of an Anesthesiologist, you will assist in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and recording patient's physiological and pharmacological status
  • Assisting the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Instructing others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by the anesthesiologist
  • Assisting in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist
  • Establishing multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) required
