Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Solid Propulsion to join our team at Raytheon. This role will involve the design and development of warhead and rocket motor systems, as well as the integration of propulsion, thrusters, and controllers into missile systems and space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop warhead and rocket motor systems, including fuzing, ignition, and power sources
* Integrate propulsion, thrusters, and controllers into missile systems and space vehicles
* Collaborate with program management to plan and execute long-range program planning
* Manage propulsion system development projects and propulsion subcontracts
* Review and disposition subcontract data and change requests
* Oversee supplier operations

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field
* Five years of experience in propulsion technology and its application to solid propulsion systems, or three years with an advanced degree and related experience
* S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

* MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
* Five plus years of directly related experience in propulsive technology and its application to solid or liquid, and/or mono propellant propulsion systems
* Project engineering skills and experience using Earned Value Management System
* Demonstrated success as a proposal/cost account manager as well as project/team leader
* Willingness to travel, including international, to provide supplier support
* Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (Department of Defense)
