Job Title: General Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Superintendent to join our team at Synectics. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction operations, managing field leaders, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage field leaders, including Superintendents, Foremen, and other site leads, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards, including company Best Practices and OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule labor assignments for each week's projects and tasks according to project schedules.
  • Oversee and implement project quality standards, ensuring installation Best Practice Systems are upheld.
  • Develop and implement company training programs for field personnel, including Superintendent and Foreman training, safety and equipment inspections, and sub-contractor awareness.
  • Monitor and enforce standards of production for self-performed work to ensure field personnel are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with coordinating over or under burdened manpower commitments via networks and alliances in the local area.
  • Communicate with Estimating Team, Project Managers, and others regarding production, technology, budgets, and customer service.
  • Uphold high customer service standards through personal leadership and managed employees.
  • Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health, and safety laws and ordinances.
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree required; Post-Secondary Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of valid construction experience required.
  • A preference will be placed on candidates with five (5) years of leadership capacity role experience, such as Superintendent, Foreman, or other comparable leadership in the construction industry.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to figure normal calculations.
  • The ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • The ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to these appropriately.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain a valid MN driver's License with health card for commercial vehicle needs.
  • Trained and efficient in Microsoft Suites, including Project, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • OSHA certified.
  • The ability to multi-task effectively and manage stress load appropriately.
  • Maintain an organized works space, shop, and communication system with your field team and company personnel.
