POSITION OVERVIEW The Chief Security Officer at Berkshire Health Systems is responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the safety and security of all facilities, assets, and personnel. This role involves vigilant observation and thorough documentation to uphold the established policies and procedures of Berkshire Health Systems and the Safety & Security Department. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are necessary unless otherwise indicated.) Experience: Prior experience as a Security Officer, Correctional Officer, Military Personnel, Military Police Officer, or Law Enforcement Officer. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Completion of de-escalation training within six months of employment and CPR certification within the same timeframe. Additional Requirements: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, demonstrating strong communication and documentation skills. Proven capability to evaluate potentially dangerous situations and safely manage individuals when necessary. Must possess the ability to remain calm and respond swiftly to diffuse unpredictable situations that may involve physical altercations. Flexibility to adapt to occasional changes in shift commitments. Compliance with all mandatory training and competency requirements set forth by the organization and relevant regulatory bodies.
