Covia Corporation has an immediate opening for a Plant Operations Associate. Qualified candidates will have the chance to gain invaluable experience and advance to operating both mobile and stationary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant MSHA regulations as specified in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and adhere to procedures related to safety and health management systems for mining operations.
  • Execute tasks in a manner that minimizes risk to oneself and others.
  • Follow site protocols and instructions provided by supervisors diligently.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to reduce damage, downtime, and quality issues.
  • Complete necessary documentation in an organized, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in an industrial setting is advantageous.
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills are necessary.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Experience in mining operations is beneficial.
  • Must be capable of working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Qualified candidates should be available for shift work, weekends, and overtime as needed.
