Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-wide network infrastructure.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of network systems, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles. You will work closely with our team to evaluate and recommend solutions, plan and execute implementation, and maintain a robust, secure, and stable network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test network equipment, network operating system software, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain, repair, upgrade, and enhance network equipment, network operating systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document all work performed on agency systems and network connectivity and supporting peripherals.
  • Perform system-level diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure network systems are operational.
  • Ensure data recovery by implementing a schedule of backups and archive operations for cloud, database, and file systems.
  • Update system documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc.
  • Track all work performed in the help desk work order system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Network Systems experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Server+ certifications, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Google IT Support Professional Certificate, CompTIA Cloud Essentials+, and Cisco Certified Networking Professional certifications are preferred.
