Operating Room Manager

The Operating Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all departmental functions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals. This includes identifying cost-effective systems to support the business of the department, taking into account business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers.
The Manager establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. They identify and remedy through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
The Department Manager works with Senior Management to meet Facility goals. They oversee surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. May assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all departmental functions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals.
- Identify cost-effective systems to support the business of the department.
- Establish effective working relationships with all constituencies.
- Identify and remedy through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
- Work with Senior Management to meet Facility goals.
- Oversee surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.
- Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Five (5) years' experience in surgery as circulator.
- Two (2) years' experience in surgery management which includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
- Current Texas RN License.
- BLS.
- CNOR preferred.
