Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics Test Engineering organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing complex engineering solutions and working closely with engineers and leaders across the globe to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and facilitate the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices.
  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
  • Prepare engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.
  • Prepare documentation, including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.
  • Provide technical mentoring to other junior engineers.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience writing and debugging software that interfaces hardware like embedded systems, microcontrollers, and/or experience working with COTS test equipment.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with software repositories, such as Subversion.
  • Background in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or SW Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience using a test automation framework such as NI Test Stand.
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting signal conditioners and data acquisition system hardware and writing test equipment software such as C#, LabView, or equivalent.
