In this position, you will take a proactive role in managing accounting and financial reporting, while also overseeing the company's accounting operations, periodic forecasting, and job costing processes. You will serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager, with a collaborative relationship with the Business Unit VP of Finance. Your work will be alongside our team in South Eastern Wisconsin.

  • Lead the company's accounting policies, budgeting processes, and job costing initiatives by establishing and maintaining financial records and internal controls in line with ProMach standards.
  • Conduct development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting data to evaluate operating results concerning profitability, performance against budgetary goals, and other factors affecting the financial stability and operational efficiency of the organization.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Review and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Manage the month-end closing process, which includes ensuring accurate cutoff, preparing and reviewing reconciliations, posting journal entries, conducting inventory analysis, and generating various financial reports.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, prepare capital expenditure requests, and provide justifications.
  • Perform job costing analysis to ensure actual costs are precise and projections accurately forecast project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, sales tax, and other tax regulations. Guarantee the accurate completion of all necessary reports and analyses, including month-end and year-end closings, financial assessments, and annual audits.
  • Provide leadership in maintaining the company's ERP and other business information systems.
  • Act as a financial and systems resource for various departments, including manufacturing, sales/marketing, parts, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members, including evaluating the performance of accounting personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Shared Service organization to manage disbursements, establish and maintain credit terms, and implement collection procedures.
  • Develop budget and staffing requirements for the accounting department, control expenses within budgetary limits, and set short- and long-term goals that align with the overall objectives of the company.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong preference for a manufacturing background.
  • Robust experience in financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and guide a team of employees.
  • Familiarity with various ERP and software systems (Syteline preferred).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal; capable of effectively presenting information to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills; adept at synthesizing complex information, collecting and researching data, utilizing intuition and experience to complement data, and designing workflows and procedures.
  • A proven, hands-on team player focused on achieving company goals; ability to take initiative and ownership with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
