POSITION SUMMARY

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a First Shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Senior Assembly Technician based in our facility. This role is pivotal as it requires a comprehensive understanding of the majority of tasks outlined in the departmental training matrix, along with the responsibility of mentoring junior assemblers.

COMPENSATION
The hiring pay rate ranges from $20/hr. to $24/hr., with additional mandatory overtime as required. This rate is determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and internal equity. A competitive benefits package is also included, with a sign-on bonus available upon discussion during the interview process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage materials and maintain accurate inventory levels within the assembly department.
- Execute a variety of intricate production and assembly tasks, utilizing both machinery and hand tools.
- Conduct visual inspections of components, perform routine mechanical measurements, and address any issues with supervisors.
- Package completed products with necessary components and instructions, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Train and guide junior assemblers, actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, and uphold daily organizational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Proficient in fine motor skills necessary for assembly tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights of 20 – 25 feet.
- Experience with Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) is preferred, with certification required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years in a relevant role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies including 5Y and A3.
- Exposure to Continuous Improvement practices like Kaizen and Six Sigma.
- Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.
