Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all incoming patients at CityMD. This individual registers patients, coordinates with the team, and responds to patient questions and concerns with kindness and urgency. The PSR is also responsible for all paperwork associated with patient registration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients
  • Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the system
  • Assist patients with paperwork when necessary
  • Scan, update, and file medical records
  • Answer phone calls and questions in a prompt and polite manner
  • Process medical insurance information and verify patient eligibility
  • Handle cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly
  • Provide outstanding customer service to every patient
  • Inform site managers of waiting room wait times and patient inquiries
Requirements
  • A High School Degree or GED
  • A happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers
  • Experience working in a high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and a team player
  • Computer proficiency and superior keyboarding skills
  • Flexible and adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment
  • Passion for helping others in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients, and other staff members
  • Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand for periods of time. Heavy computer use required.
