Job Summary

Augusta University is seeking a skilled Broadcast Production Engineer to support live academics and athletics events. The successful candidate will serve as a production engineer, producer, and camera technician, maintaining all equipment and loading and setting up equipment for events. This role will also involve working on productions as assigned, assisting the director in production and editing video and audio as needed, and managing project assignments and coaching student workers.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in broadcasting or media. Advanced video and audio engineering skills, including photography and audio, are required. The successful candidate will also have leadership skills and experience, as well as knowledge of Adobe products and video fundamentals. Additional qualifications include the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex technology problems, and maintain confidentiality. The selected candidate will be required to pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. The selected candidate will also be required to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage. Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle. For Faculty Hires, final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
