A comprehensive understanding of governance and security measures related to these services is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical authority in the Microsoft 365 domain;
- Architect, configure, and oversee the organization’s Microsoft 365 infrastructure;
- Convert business requirements into architectural frameworks and present them to executive leadership;
- Plan and implement comprehensive deployments of Microsoft 365 services;
- Advise the IT leadership on current and emerging Microsoft 365 technologies;
- Develop both high-level and detailed documentation for existing and prospective cloud solutions;
- Assess and determine governance requirements and security configurations for the Microsoft 365 platform;
- Provide specialized knowledge and support during significant service migrations to Microsoft 365;
- Collaborate with information security teams to ensure designs meet all security best practices and organizational standards;
- Continuously evaluate the Microsoft 365 and cloud environments to identify critical gaps and propose enhancements;
- Create, review, and disseminate technical documentation related to cloud solutions and projects, including processes, procedures, troubleshooting, training, and change management;
- Guide and mentor other IT team members;
- Ensure solution ownership and expertise throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities;
- Capability to lead internal IT teams and present innovative technologies;
- Aptitude for identifying, scoping, and articulating detailed technical solutions to executive personnel;
- Experience in implementing Microsoft cloud technologies with an understanding of interdependencies in large enterprise environments;
- Proven ability to collaborate proactively with internal teams and third-party vendors;
- Strategic vision for guiding large technical teams on complex initiatives;
- Leadership in cloud services across the organization and its IT department;
- Initiative in driving process improvements, security configurations, and standardization across cloud solutions;
- Strong technical problem-solving skills;
- Ability to effectively communicate escalations and progress to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, System Analysis, Engineering, or a related field;
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in global enterprise IT solutions and engineering;
- Advanced Microsoft M365 certifications;
- Expertise in Office 365, particularly with Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Defender for Office 365, Teams, and other O365 services;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Security components, including Defender for Identity and Defender for Cloud Apps;
- Experience with Microsoft cloud security controls, Data Loss Prevention, and understanding of Litigation Hold, Retention, and eDiscovery;
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 in large, complex environments;
- Experience managing and maintaining on-premises Active Directory and migrations to M365;
- Familiarity with Azure is advantageous;
- Experience with Microsoft Intune is a plus;
- Knowledge of email protection and security solutions such as Proofpoint is beneficial.
