Job SummaryThe Vice President of Sustainability will play a crucial role in leading, developing, and implementing sustainability strategies that align with our company's mission, values, and long-term objectives. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable practices and initiatives across the organization, manage environmental and social governance (ESG) reporting, and engage with key stakeholders to promote our commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy and roadmap that addresses environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and considers the diverse needs of our stakeholders and communities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations and decision-making processes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and measure success.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices in sustainability, and adapt the strategy accordingly.
- Manage ESG reporting and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives.
- Communicate the company's sustainability efforts and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, investors, customers, and employees.
- Stay abreast of global sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve our strategies and reporting.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with relevant sustainability standards and reporting frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and navigate challenges.
- Deep understanding of ESG factors and their impact on business operations and performance.
- Demonstrated experience fostering ESG principles in a corporate setting.
- Experience in scope emissions data analysis, reporting, and presentation, including collaborating with outside scope emissions measurement service providers.
- Experience working in a global organization and managing cross-cultural teams.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports.
