About the Role

Meridian Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Professional to provide vital support at various metro locations. This role offers flexibility to work remote and move between sites, with the possibility of dedicated time at specific locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skills training through psycho-education and patient education strategies.
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psycho-social problems.
  • Assess the clinical status of patients referred by primary care providers.
  • Work with the primary care team to treat and manage patients with chronic emotional and/or health problems.
  • Assist in the detection of at-risk patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Evaluate patient care plans with the primary care team.
  • Teach patients, families, and staff about care, prevention, and treatment enhancement techniques.
  • Monitor the site's behavioral health program and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Psychologist (LP), or License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of two years of freedom from chemical abuse problems.
