Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain geographic information systems (GIS) to support the commission's regulatory functions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address GIS-related needs and opportunities.
  • Design and implement GIS solutions to improve the commission's ability to regulate utilities.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in computer science, computer information systems, geography, geographic information systems technology, or management information systems.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in geographic information systems analysis and design work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Geographic Information Specialist with a regulatory agency or regulated utility.
  • Previous experience working on a team or as a project manager on geographic information system project(s).
