Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Data Specialist to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining field stations that measure environmental conditions across Texas, communicating with landowners and related collaborators, and conducting research in data manipulation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain field stations that measure environmental conditions across Texas.
  • Communicate with landowners and related collaborators.
  • Conduct research in data manipulation tools.
  • Use GIS, remote sensing, image analysis, statistical tools, and management of large datasets to develop usable data products.
  • Apply these products to solving water resource questions in Texas and elsewhere when possible and appropriate.
  • Collaborate with team members on program development and fund raising.
  • Present research results in peer-reviewed articles and reports, and in oral and poster formats at local and national meetings, and to sponsors and other interested groups.
