Job Summary:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a skilled Nurse Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive timely, effective, and beneficial care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to achieve excellent patient outcomes and high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement effective nursing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and reduce readmissions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and other relevant certifications as required by the position.
  • At least two years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting, or demonstrated proficiency as a nurse at SCF.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compliance with SCF's Employee Health procedure is a condition of employment. The successful candidate will be required to agree to comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to their first day of employment.
